This is a facilitated group via Zoom where parents learn to provide a secure base for their children (0-5years) to explore the world, learn rules, express feelings, and return for support. Parents learn how to follow their child’s lead when possible and when necessary to be “bigger, stronger, wiser and kind” without becoming mean, weak, unavailable, or complicated by past stress.

WOODWORKING

This class is designed for beginners and/or experienced woodworkers. You will have the opportunity to either: 1) bring your own personal project with which you want help, or 2) decide on a new project at 1st class. There are many finishing techniques available for your desired effect of each project. Beginner level class time and eperienced level class time will stagger to accommodate for individual needs, to be decided at the 1st class. You will learn the safe and correct use of various wood working machines and complete a desired project.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL)

This course is for those who have never taken an ASL class before or need to refresh their knowledge from years ago. Finger spelling and basic vocabulary will be taught and practiced in a fun, comfortable environment. Class will be kept small in order to focus on your individual purpose for learning.

BEGINNER FLY TYING

This course is designed for the beginner but is open to all skill levels. Each week you will learn at least 2 different fly patterns and usually there is enough time during class to tie at least 3 flies of each pattern. All materials will be supplied by the instructor at no cost. You will need tools to participate in class. The instructor will contact you with a list of tools and where to purchase them before class

There is a special need for people who can care for infants, sibling groups, and adolescents, while also supporting the reunification process. There are currently over 100 Maine children waiting to find a forever family. Join us for this informational meeting (ages 21 and over).

CHARTING A COURSE

Be better than a map app! Learn basic navigation and chart/map reading. We will be making our own accurate map/ chart and learning compass reading as it relates to true directions. This information is applicable to land, sea and air. This course can expand to introduce nautical/ air-nautical navigation to set up for a Merchant Marine or Pilot’s license. 

Materials: Will be provided by instructor, fee TBD, pay instructor at 1st class.
