ACRYLIC AND/OR WATERCOLOR

Be creative. Express your talent in Acrylic or Watercolor at the Hathaway Art Studio, in Wilton. Explore mixing color and brush techniques. Learn a few tips on drawing compositions and effective use of shadows and highlights while painting a landscape or seascape. Paint alon with a demo or work at your own pace. See your brush strokes make a beautiful sky, sunset and refections. Add other elements of rocks, mountains, trees, flowers and foliage to show details. Both mediums are fun, easy to use and easy to clean up with water.
Class can be combined on Thursdays to fit your schedule. Beginners to semi-pro willbe able to paint a composition to mat or frame.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE

This course if for those who have never taken an ASL class before or need to refresh their knowledge from years ago. Finger spelling and basic vocabulary will be taught and practiced in a fun, comfortable environment. Class will be kept small in order to focus on your individual purpose for learning.

Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, a non-profit organization, is looking for hospice volunteers to join the hospice team, providing companionship to patients and respite for family members. In the training you will learn about the history and philosophy of hospice, family dynamics, spirituality, communication, the adult disease process and other end-of-life issues. The training includes both classroom time and on-line training. You can make a difference. Start today!

BEGINNER SWING DANCE

Participants will learn the essentials of swing dancing by focusing on how to lead and follow, learn the basic positions and patterns. The foundation of the class is to have fun. Swing dancing can be done at any social function.
BEGINNING FLYTYING
with Kevin White

This course is designed for the beginner but is open to all skill levels. Each week you will learn at least 2 different fly patterns and usually there is enough time during class to tie at least 3 flies of each pattern. All materials will be supplied by the instructor. You will need tools to participate in class. Contact the instructor for a list of tools and where to purchase them. There is nothing more exciting than catching a fish on a fly you have tied! So join us and plan on gaining some knowledge and above all having a lot of fun.
